I was creating a simple Data Entry Form and, through Data Validation, attempted to create a drop down list for one of the fields. Whilst the data validation works (if the field entry isn't spelled correctly, it won't allow the entry), no such drop down list actually appears for the end user.

Any assistance would be fantastic.

Excel Facts

Return population for a City
If you have a list of cities in A2:A100, use Data, Geography. Then =A2.Population and copy down.
How are you setting the data validation?

Setting it as a List, and checking both the 'ignore blanks' and 'in-cell dropdown'. The source is referring to my created list on a separate sheet.

What do you have in the Source box?

Ok, goto file, options, advanced, scroll down to "Display options for this workbook" & make sure that "For objects show" you have All checked.

Have you ever deleted shapes & or drawing objects from the sheet with a macro?
Also is the DV in an area that has been frozen with freeze panes?

No, I've only just created this workbook simple to experience the Data Entry Form. There is no other information in the workbook at all.

In that case I don't know. With settings like these

You should get the drop down when you select the cell
