Hi!

I am using the built-in Data Entry Form but it gives me challenges. When I add more than so many rows of data, aka get to the bottom of my screen, I lose control of any new rows.

Is it possible to either a) have the screen follow me down or b) insert the data on top of the table (meaning row 3).

Or if anyone has another suggestion on how to scan a pallet of 112 serial numbers where we have continous control that we've scanned everything I'm all ears!

Regards
Odd Inge

Excel Facts

Lock one reference in a formula
Need 1 part of a formula to always point to the same range? use $ signs: $V$2:$Z$99 will always point to V2:Z99, even after copying
I actually scan in product QR Codes or bar codes into a worksheet.

This is easy to do, as long as you control the flow of scanned items.
For example, I want the scanned data to go only into column A, so I protected the other columns.
As each item is scanned, the cursor automatically moves to the next cell below.

How to deal with duplicate or invalid scanned values is another question.

Solution
I think i over-complicated my thought process a little bit on this using a form..

Your solution is genious, Larry! Thank you!

Duplicates or invalid entries I've already covered using data validation - that works like a charm!

We already use a scanner..
