Data entry problem - where to look?

Hello,

I have two forms which are set up in a similar way, one allows new additions, and the other doesn't. The properties in the data tab for both forms are the same, apart from the record source. And the record source for both is set up using the same technique - the record source window includes two tables, and one of them is a junction table which I use purely to limit the records (to those which are linked to a certain property throught he jucntion table).

Where else can I look to find the relevant difference between these forms? I can't think what else could affect the data entry properties for the form. I remember having the same problem with the form that now works fine, but unfortunately can't remember the solution.

Excel Facts

Why are there 1,048,576 rows in Excel?
The Excel team increased the size of the grid in 2007. There are 2^20 rows and 2^14 columns for a total of 17 billion cells.
figured out my own problem - and thought I should communicate it IN CASE anyone ever looks to this post for a solution. I'd set the form to re-query when records were entered into the Name fields - but because the record source included only records that had been listed a certain way in the junction table, the re-query command needed to be triggered by the dirtying of the junction table subform - or else the record wsa selected out before I had a chance to enter anything in the subform.

So the more general message would be to look in the events tab of the property sheet too before you take to tearing your hair out.
