Data Filter Not Working?

I would assume I'm not the first to recognize this....

For what ever reason...even though I'm selecting Range("A1:G5") then hitting filter, when I select Sort Z-A what ever I'm trying to sort gets sent all the way to the bottom of the spread sheet and all the blanks get placed before it.

Sort A-Z send the dates to the top, and all the blanks to the bottom...

Why is it not just sorting the range A1:G5...I didn't select A1:G1999

I hope this makes sense....and I hope there is a way to fix it!

Matt
