Data in cell not visible

In a spreadsheet that I'm working in, I have one cell that when I type in a value, it doesn't show up at all. It shows up in the formula bar above, it adds that value to the total at the bottom, it just is not visible in that cell. This isn't a sheet that I built, so I don't want to make a lot of formatting changes so I thought there just might be a simple answer.

Sounds to me like the text color and fill color are the same

Possibly formatted as custom format ;;; which has the effect of hiding the contents of any cell from view.
