I have set up a data base, consisting of peoples names and addresses on excel spread sheet. I would like to be able to copy and paste one data list to another and highlight duplicated names and or addresses, also with the option to erase duplications keeping the original.

Can you AutoAverage in Excel?
There is a drop-down next to the AutoSum symbol. Open the drop-down to choose AVERAGE, COUNT, MAX, or MIN
Copy your new data over to the appropriate columns underneath your other data. Highlight your entire column and press. Alt-->D-->P-->P. and Enter 3 times. This will create a pivot table for you. Drag which ever item you want into your column area. This will give you only unique records. You can also drag that same item into your Data area to get a count. Tell me what you get
