I have 18 sheets all formatted the same:

Column B is a persons name, Column L is a metric that I'm pulling.

I have a list of names on sheet 19 that lists the names in column A that matches the names in Column B on all the other Sheets.
What I need to do is pull the metric from each of the first 18 sheets and place them in the same row for the name on sheet 19 with the metrics being added for each sheet from column C through T.

Can this be done with a VBA macro?

Final result would look like:

Column B Column C Column D etc....

Name metric1 metric2
Name metric1 metric2
Name metric1 metric2
Name metric1 metric2
Name metric1 metric2
Name metric1 metric2

Excel Facts

Quick Sum
Select a range of cells. The total appears in bottom right of Excel screen. Right-click total to add Max, Min, Count, Average.
Hi,

Sorry to ask but does this HAVE to be done in VBA? It sounds like a very simple solution that a vlookup or Index could solve.

I guess not but the other sheets are going to manipulated as far as a sort function within those sheets how would I do this with the vlookup or Index and still be able to move the order of cells around on the other sheets?

Are the names unique in each sheet or do you have duplicates?

Names would be the same name options on each sheet; but wouldn't be in the same order but would be in the same column on each sheet

Example
Sheet 1 sheet 2

bill terri
dave bill
terri jill
jill jack
jack dave

The metric is a number that is always in the same column on each sheet
I would just need to be able to rely on the fact that if the sheet gets sorted the summary sheet would find the name and corresponding metric no matter what order the sheet is sorted by as there are other values that are looked at in other columns.
