Hi, first of all this is my first post. I've been a youtube fan for a little while but have only recently stumbled across the forums.

I have a table with several hundred rows in, date, time, and then other data. All of these together are unique. I want to select one row only (as if using mutliple filters) and have that selected row appear in a specific row. I'm wanting it to be a selection from a drop down list. The reason for this is I'm then using a series of vlookups to pull back a graph and want to be able to switch between graphs quickly and simply.

The problem is at work I only have Excel 2003, and therefore cannot use a table and so am stumped, although believe there maybe a way using lists and OFFSETS, but I'm struggling. I've attached an image which should illustrate what I'm trying to get to. I have 2010 at home, but only 2003 at work but am posting this from home. What I would like is for the green cells to be populated with the top filtered row, and for this to be able to change depending on what's selected in the drop down. Piece of cake using tables in 2007 / 2010...

Many thanks. As I'm a newbie to these forums please feel free to feedback on anything I have missed or not done properly.

Excel Facts

Did you know Excel offers Filter by Selection?
Add the AutoFilter icon to the Quick Access Toolbar. Select a cell containing Apple, click AutoFilter, and you will get all rows with Apple
