Hi guys.

I would like to transfer some price data from MT4 station to Excel but after doing that it appears completely different.
For example in original table 8,56 however "Aug.56" is seen on Excel. And can't do any arithmethical operations because it is not considered in a number format.

I think excel recognizes it as date . How could I fix it, any idea any function to solve this problem, please ?

Thank you,

Welcome to the forum. :)

How exactly do you transfer the data to Excel?

Hi Rory,
In MT4 a menu called "History Data Center". I save from there as *.html file and paste to my excel sheet

So you copy and paste from the html file? What does the data look like in the html file - is the comma still the decimal separator?

Yes, exactly in that way.
Here what it looks like in *html format before pasting in Excel.

So, actually no, it doesn't use the comma, it's using a dot. Since the dot appears to also be your date separator, that is what causes the problem. Are there any settings you can alter in MT4 to use your regional settings for the decimal point?

There is no such setting possibility in MT4 program unfortunatelly. In my computer, I think, we have some though. Don't we ?

You can try altering your regional settings to use a dot as the decimal point, though that might cause issues with your dates since they also use a dot as the separator. Are you really still using Office 2007?

Yes I think it still covers my needs :)
I will try the way you suggested I hope it will work Rory..
