Hello, please some assistance.

Column D has 'new' values, ie. 225.
Column E is input for inspection, ie. Input 217
Column F and so on is also for input. 202, 198, 190

Each time a figure is entered into the column it must be lower than the previous column.

217 must be lower than 225, 202 must be lower than 217, 198 must be lower than 202 and so on.

Also if possible, MUST be a number.
Blanks to be ignored.
Please your help to achieve. Thanks in advance.

How can you automate Excel?
Press Alt+F11 from Windows Excel to open the Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) editor.
Assuming the data starts on row 2, select E2 and in data Validation choose 'Custom' and enter this formula =E2<D2 and click OK
Now copy that cell (E2) and Paste Special (Validation) to the other cells where you want this DV.

That worked a treat, easy than I was expecting.
Thanks very much
