Hey there people

Im just wondering if you can have multiple Data Validations.
I have a spreadsheet setup to show me either Stolen, Storage or MIA PC's from a "Call's Logged" work sheet..

What I would like is 2 or 3 Data Validations or drop downs where I can click the drop down and select Storage, then select a second drop down and select workstations.
So the growing table (list) should show me all the workstations that are in storage. Is this possible ? It would then need to show laptops in storage or stolen etc.
Any Help would be great. More Formula than VBA if possible.

Cheers..............Glen

I believe what you want is to create a Dependent Validation List. A good tutorial on this can be found here: http://www.contextures.com/xlDataVal02.html
As far as the rest of it goes I could help you out better if you could show an example using Colo's HTML maker addin. Directions are given here. The better I understand your layout the more I and others can help you. The addin is simple to install and you will find it invaluable when posting to the forum.

Welcome to the board!

I see no reason the above reference shouldn't work, but just to eventually give you some more help try this link: http://www.mrexcel.com/board2/viewtopic.php?t=170677&highlight=drop and scroll down to my topic. It has a link to the original poster and a worksheet that explains the theory of multiple Data Validation Lists. Edit: My sheet is slightly different from the original link, as mentioned.

You need to read up on named ranges though. It very simple.

Hope This Helps
