Data Validation: Date & List?

I currently have a data validation setup via VBA to allow a dynamic list that the user can add to. They would also like to add a date in some cells. Can the two be mixed?

If it is a dynamic list there is no problem to add dates in the list. The cell with data validation should be in General Format. Date will be displayed in number format.
As you are using VBA if possible for date add codes to for changing the format for date.
