Data Validation Does Not Work

I am saving a document in Excel 2010 which has drop-down cells. However, when I send it to Excel 2007 users, they do not see the drop-down cells do not work.

Is this a known issue or is there a work-around? Thanks!

Have you tried to save your 2010 file as a 2007 excel? 2010 is going to have features that 2007 does not.

Doesn't 2010 and 2007 have the same file extension of .xlsx?

If your data validation is using cells on another sheet and refers to that sheet directly in the DV source, then that will not work in prior versions. You need to create a named range and use that named range in the DV source for it to work in earlier versions.
