Hi all,

I have a spreadsheet that I am doing the data validation dropdown boxes on. I highlight the first cell in that column and then open up Data Validation and input a list of four names that will be used in the dropdown box. I then use the fill down for 1000 rows so that the current entries and any future entries will contain the dropdown box. However, some cells already have data (the 4 names) in them already and so when I do the fill down, they all change to the name in the highlighted first cell. Is there something I can do so that this doesn't happen? And that the names that are already in the cells stay in there cells?

Thanks

Round to nearest half hour?
Use =MROUND(A2,"0:30") to round to nearest half hour. Use =CEILING(A2,"0:30") to round to next half hour.
After setting up the DV, select the range you want it to work on & select Data Validation from the ribbon & click Yes on the pop-up
