Is it possible to set up a data validation drop down list using a range of data on a different worksheet ?

I can only seem to get it to work if the data range I wish to use is on the same sheet as the validated cells.

Thanks.

Excel Facts

Bring active cell back into view
Start at A1 and select to A9999 while writing a formula, you can't see A1 anymore. Press Ctrl+Backspace to bring active cell into view.
Sorry, i've tried naming the range of cells containing my list, but when I try to point the validation to that range I get a message advising me that I cannot use a range on a different worksheet or workbook.

Thanks for the attempt though...any other suggestions I can try ??

Nice one, I was including the fine name as well as the cell reference, hence the problem.

Thanks for your help.
