Hello... does anyone know how to make a list data validation pick the information you want from your list by typing the first letter. For example.... autofilters allow only 1000 entries to be displayed. You can choose or "fast forward" to what you are looking for from the autofilter drop down list by entering the first letter or number you are looking for instead of scrolling through 1000 enteries for what you are looking for. Can you make large data validation lists do the same?

Excel Facts

VLOOKUP to Left?
Use =VLOOKUP(A2,CHOOSE({1,2},$Z$1:$Z$99,$Y$1:$Y$99),2,False) to lookup Y values to left of Z values.
welcome to the board!

I dont think you can do that with a data validation list, but you could insert a combo box from the active x controls and set the autowordselect property to true and it will function like that.
