Hello Everyone,

I have a spreadsheet that tracks completed tasks at work; the spreadsheet assigns a percentage value to a completed task.

For example "Did the dishes get washed?" the grader would enter either "Y" "N" or "N/A" in B1, and a percentage suchs as 1% would be awarded to the completed task and autamaticaly entered in C1 if the answer in B1 is "Y".

If the answer is "N" then no points are awarded.

The trouble I am having is with the "N/A" entry; because if the dishes did not need to be washed then there is no grade and should count against the over all score.

I have been using the following formula =IF(B1="Y",0.01."")

At the bottom of C is the "Total Score" cell which should take the SUM total of all graded cells and ignore all "N/A" cells so as not to count against the final score.

I hope I have explained my problem with clarity and any assitance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You

Format cells as date
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+3 to format cells as date. (Shift 3 is the # sign which sort of looks like a small calendar).
Use a countif of the row with N/A in it, and take that away from your total number of items to work out the overall score (as I am guessing that you divide by the total).
