Data>Validation>Input message

Excel Facts

What is the shortcut key for Format Selection?
Ctrl+1 (the number one) will open the Format dialog for whatever is selected.
Good morning irresistible007

Yes.

What type of formula?
eg., set Allow box to Custom, then >A1 in the formula box will not permit a number that is greater than the value in A1.

Can i use a formula in "Data>Validation>Input message"?
I think the answer is 'No', without using VBA to set the validation.

No buddy you didnt got my question....

I know i can set fomula under Data validation ... but what i meant by my question is that Input message (under Data validation) shows text which you have to manually set ..... is that possible to use some text which is under certain cell...

Like lets say A1 contains : "I am 19 yrs old"

now when i select A2 it shows whatever the text is in A1 ...
