I can use a Data valiation list to create drop down and teh value in the drop down is the value in Cell A1 by putting =A1 in the list in the datavalidtion screen

IF I change the value in A1, the data valdiation changes automatically
However I want to do it with 2 values and It doesn't seem to work.
I want the cell drop down to contain the value in Cell A1 and the value in cell A2
If I enter =A1,=A2 in the data validation list it fails.

Is this possible?

Use Data, What-If Analysis, Goal Seek to find the correct input cell value to reach a desired result
FOrgot to mettion, Yes I can use Named Ranges, but I have 30 pairs I need in 30 different cells and I didn't want to create 30 names ranges. Also the cells are not congruent (the values are in A2, D3 or A5 L7, etc), so the Named Range would be disjointed cells.

But the cells aren't congruent I added that in my reply. They are disjointed single cells.

As far as I know, Data validation can't use non contiguous cells.
You'll have to create the list elsewhere using contiguous cells.

Actually the noncongruent part is static, so what I am really after is the drop down to contain"

Value in Cell (A7) - or whatever cell
Other
N/A

the there is only dynamice value. Guess it just wont work as far as I can see I'll have to hide and build the table elsewhere
