Excel Facts

Did you know Excel offers Filter by Selection?
Add the AutoFilter icon to the Quick Access Toolbar. Select a cell containing Apple, click AutoFilter, and you will get all rows with Apple
Name the Range where your data is.
Refer with Data Validation to this (list) named range.

First go to the sheet where your data is.
Select the data you want to use.

2007: Go to Formulas - Name Manager...
Select New...
type in a name for your range ex MyData.
OK

Goto the sheet where you want you data validation.
As source type: =MyData

Hi KSTWS,

My company is still using office 2003

and SEIYA,

The indirect formula gives me a message " The source currently evaluates to an error. Do you wish to continue?" I chose to click yes yet there is no list on the dropdown.

thanks,
