Hi

Each time I create a drop down list through data validation, save my file, close it, re-open: the list breaks.

Why?

Background:

I have independant lists on 4 different tabs. All the lists on these tabs point to a specific column on a fifth tab, which I call "inputs"

Thanks

Excel Facts

Formula for Yesterday
Name Manager, New Name. Yesterday =TODAY()-1. OK. Then, use =YESTERDAY in any cell. Tomorrow could be =TODAY()+1.
How exactly are you creating the DV lists?

Is your file an .xls format?

That's the problem. You can't have a DV source that refers directly to another sheet in an .xls file. You have to name the range in the other sheet (using Name Manager on the Formulas tab) and then use that name as the source.
