I'm using data validation lists for a survey, and they are making my file size too big. Is there an alternative to using lists? Or is there a way to shrink the file size?

Excel Facts

What do {} around a formula in the formula bar mean?
{Formula} means the formula was entered using Ctrl+Shift+Enter signifying an old-style array formula.
What are the sizes of your lists, and how many cells have Data Validation, and how big is your file?

What makes you think that your file size is being caused by the existence of the lists? Have you checked for other causes ... such as unused areas of sheets existing ( do Ctrl-End on each sheet and see where the active cell ends up )?

Thanks, Glenn. After working with it a little more I was able to create a new workbook with the same lists but smaller size. I'm not sure what the problem was on the previous workbook but the Ctrl+End helped. Thanks again.
