Data Validation - make arrow visible?

Is it possible to show the drop-down arrow in a data-validated cell without selecting the cell? In other words, I want it to be obvious that there's a drop down menu even if the cell isn't selected. As far as I can tell, though, data validated cells appear like any other cells when they're not selected.

Thanks in advance for any ideas

I don't think it is possible using Data Validation. However, you can do this if you use Forms like Combo Box or List Box. However, that requires a bit of extra work.
