Hello everyone. I'm still working on the same file that yesterday I asked about on COUNTIFS and INDIRECT based on multiple criteria and from different worksheets. That one is now ok but I have another concern. Thank you for the help.

My concern now is that I need to have data validation in column L which depends on the conditions in columns E,F,G. The column L should have dependent drop down list based on the competencies chosen in columns E,F,G. The competencies are listed on three different worksheets. I tried Vlookup with indirect and Index-match-indirect but maybe I entered a wrong variable or something.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Here's a copy of the file I'm working on Competency Tracker_02Dec2021.xlsm

How to change case of text in Excel?
Use =UPPER() for upper case, =LOWER() for lower case, and =PROPER() for proper case. PROPER won't capitalize second c in Mccartney
Hi Interduco,

I'm not sure what would constitute your "List of Competencies Not Covered" data list but I'm guessing they would not be a contiguous set of cells so I think you'll need to construct the list dynamically.

As you'll want a different list for each row then you'll want to construct the list horizontally, e.g. in columns S to ZZ of each row.

Will try to have only one separate sheet listing the competencies per subject per grade level instead of having separate sheets per subject. Thank you for responding to m question
