Data validation not showing

Hello

I created a workbook that is sent out to several people in my company. This workbook has data validation in it. Theoretically when selecting a cell with data validation the grey drop down arrow should appear with a list of choices. This happens on 4 of the peoples computers and excel. however it does not happen on the other 2. Is there an option somewhere to turn on data validation?

All computers are running Win 7 and Office 2010.

Excel Facts

Shade all formula cells
To shade all formula cells: Home, Find & Select, Formulas to select all formulas. Then apply a light fill color.
