I think I already know the answer to my question but I'll ask anyway, just in case I'm wrong.

I am seeking to make a cell do BOTH the following:

A) Take its value from a a list
B) Allow users to type anything they want

Am I correct to say it's not possible?

The closest I got was to create a combobox and set its style to dropdowncombo.

Thanks

Excel Facts

Repeat Last Command
Pressing F4 adds dollar signs when editing a formula. When not editing, F4 repeats last command.
I think if you turn off the error alert in the data validation then the user should be able to type what they want in the cell.
