Hi,

I'm using excel 2000 and am using validation to get a list of numbers from a different workbook (external data). Anyways, the external data has lots of blank cells in between, so when I click the validation drop down, I get all the data and the blank cells. Does anyone know how to filter the validation, so I only get the data.

ps - all the data in the column is numerical, no text or spaces between the numbers.

Actually another issue that is also frustrating is that my program force quits every time I try to scroll down the validation list, but the source data is quite long.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Jenny

Does the VLOOKUP table have to be sorted?
No! when you are using an exact match, the VLOOKUP table can be in any order. Best-selling items at the top is actually the best.
