Data Validation Problem

Heya, I have another problem.

I have setup data validation in a cell so that the value entered must be located in the range =Reference_Number. However, when I am using macros for this instead, instead of typing it in that is.. it seems to overwrite the data validation.#

Know any way that I can ensure this.. or do I have to put a check as part of the macro?
