Excel 365 - I've got dynamic lists being used for drop downs but I'm having trouble creating the drop down list using the table name (using the range works, but it doesn't update when a new item in the dynamic table is created). The only thing I am able to find online is press the F3 button when in that data validation field after list is selected. I'm expecting to see a list of my available tables, but my pc just dings at me like that is not an option. Please advise.

Using Function Arguments with nested formulas
If writing INDEX in Func. Arguments, type MATCH(. Use the mouse to click inside MATCH in the formula bar. Dialog switches to MATCH.
I also struggled with that issue. What works:
  1. Select the column in the table (not the whole sheet column)
  2. Type a name in the name field (left of the formula)
  3. In the data validation select 'List'
  4. in the source type =name from step 2
