I have a cost estimation spreadsheet. I have cell A6 pull data validation name list of hardware from another sheet. Then I have cell B6 pull data vlaidation name list of software from another sheet. Then they calculate into another cell and it works wonderful. What I am trying to do now is, once they pull a hardware selection from A6 drop down list, I want only the options that may go with that selection to appear for cell B6.

For instance:
A6 selects Large Sun Server

I want B6 to only display the support that goes with a Large Sun Server box, and not pull the entire name list in the validation.

I'm not sure what formula i need, or if i need to get rid of my data vlaidation name lists or what i can do. Like i said it works great now, but looking to improve and help guide the end user with right choices

Excel Facts

Which came first: VisiCalc or Lotus 1-2-3?
Dan Bricklin and Bob Frankston debuted VisiCalc in 1979 as a Visible Calculator. Lotus 1-2-3 debuted in the early 1980's, from Mitch Kapor.
Hi,

Try doing a search for Cascading Data Validation, I reckon it should help.
