Data Validation with consolidation of data

Good afternoon...

I am sure this question has been asked many times, and I thought I saw one of the Mr. Excel or ExcelisFun videos on YouTube which discussed this topic, but I cannot find it.

I want to create a drop-down list that consolidates repeated data only once. Then create a second data validation drop-down list that gives the different choices for the repeated data. For instance,

Production Cap Model
1000 Model1
1000 Model2
2000 Model3
3000 Model4

So if I want to have a drop down list with Production Capacity, but show 1000 only once, and then a second drop down list that will give me the choice of Models with 1000 Production Capacity.

Can this be done with table nomenclature or must it be done with range names?

Also, I do not know much about using VBA, so I am hoping I can do this using the functions available without VBA.

Many thanks... Steven

Workdays for a market open Mon, Wed, Friday?
Yes! Use "0101011" for the weekend argument in NETWORKDAYS.INTL or WORKDAY.INTL. The 7 digits start on Monday. 1 means it is a weekend.
