Hi

I have a spreadsheet where I need Data validation to pop up a message when something is not right.

C7 is "Actual" numbers
C8 is "Planned" numbers

I need Data Validation in C7 that;

  1. Checks that C8 is NOT blank
    AND
  2. Checks that the value in C7 is NOT greater than the value in C8

Any suggestions of formulae would be greatfully received.

Thanks.

How to calculate loan payments in Excel?
Use the PMT function: =PMT(5%/12,60,-25000) is for a $25,000 loan, 5% annual interest, 60 month loan.
Hi Mart37

Thanks for your response but that formula doesn't work in the scenario I have.

I need Data Validation in C7 that;

  1. C8 must have a number in it (ie. is NOT blank)
    and
  2. Any number entered into C7 must NOT be greater than the number in C8.
