Currently I define data ranges and then tie them to cells using data verification. I then input data into the cells using a dropdown box allowing me to pick from the list. Works fine. Now there's a need to make it more complicated.

What's the easiest way to have the dropdown list show one set of values (e.g. employee names), but when a selected a corresponding value is input into the cell (e.g their social security number)?

Is there a shortcut key for strikethrough?
Ctrl+S is used for Save. Ctrl+5 is used for Strikethrough. Why Ctrl+5? When you use hashmarks to count |||| is 4, strike through to mean 5.
Maybe have a look into setting up a small table with the data on another sheet or you may already have this and then look into using the vlookup formula, there are some great examples in the Excel help file.
