Hi,

I am haven't worked with access in a long time so I am having trouble with a few things.

How do you create an opening menu for a database? Also, once you have the opening menu started how do you insert action buttons that will link the opening menu to other parts of the database? (I know you use macros to link the action buttons, I just can't figure out how to insert the actual buttons.

Thanks in advance...

Excel Facts

Will the fill handle fill 1, 2, 3?
Yes! Type 1 in a cell. Hold down Ctrl while you drag the fill handle.
Open your db, Click on Tools/Database Utilities/Switchboard Manageer.
It's fairly straightforward... after a bit, but it will create the Menu code for you along with the action buttons to open your forms/queries/reports, etc.

Try it.. if you have problems, visit us again.

A good answer would exceed the typical scope of this forum. It's more like the full chapter 3 of a "learn Access" book.

But if you really just need a "push" :

Create a form

view toolbox, click on command button, draw it on the form

Under Tools/startup, specify the form
