I have linked a cell in tab 1 with a cell in tab 3. When I dataasort in tab 1 it messes up the link with the cell in tab 3. Is there a way to stop this from happening?

Yes, by sue of the INDIRECT() function, specifing the row with the ROW() function. The exact formula to use would depend totally on what you are trying to do, so, that is the best I can give you.
