Back to the class register! Is there a function/macro that could launch a word template for mail-merge when a pupil has been marked absent "A" and they have not brought a note in changing the "A" to "AA" (authorised absence). It is difficult to keep track of who has not brought a note in and I thought an automatick mail-merge letter home would help.
