Date-based formula help required

If I have a start date in column A and a finish date in column B, and I want to work out how many man days (ie/ only the 5 week days per week) it took, what formula would I use?

Try

=NETWORKDAYS(A1,B1)

In Excel 2003 and earlier this requires the Analysis Toolpak from Tools > Add-ns.

Thank you, but that has included all the days, not only the week days... What does the NETWORK days addition signify?

In fact, I have a more complex request...

What firmula would I require if I have a start date in column A and a finish date in column B, and I'd like to know the time taken in week days to complete a task ONLY if there is a date in both columns?
