Date calculation!

In Cell E2 I have a date (generated by another formula ) this is an Installation Date in the format dd/mm/yyyy e.g 21/04/2009

I need a date automatically entered into Cell D2, the Despatch date, which is 3 WORKING DAYS ( MON-FRI ) before the installation date.

A real example might be say the Installation Date is Monday 23rd March 2009 in Cell E2, then the Despatch Date needs to be Wed 18th March 2009 e.g. 3 working days earlier

Thanks Ed

When did Power Query debut in Excel?
Although it was an add-in in Excel 2010 & Excel 2013, Power Query became a part of Excel in 2016, in Data, Get & Transform Data.
You need the WORKDAY function. This gives the next working day from a date after a specified duration.

Look in the Excel help for its description. I think (but I am not 100% sure that if you have Excel 2003) then you may need the Analysis ToolPak to use this function. Thanks

That is brilliant, works a treat. I thought it would be much harder.
Many thanks Ed
