Hi Everyone,

Can someone help me with problem I'm having? Its very time consuming and prone to human error if I do it manually.

Simply, I have a list of accounts with Effective dates and Units Shipped.

I'm trying to calculate another column as follows:

((Today's month - [The Month in the Effective Date]*17)+50

I have my month's in my effective date formatted dd-mmm-yy.

Can anyone help?

Easy bullets in Excel
If you have a numeric keypad, press Alt+7 on numeric keypad to type a bullet in Excel.
Try

=(MONTH(TODAY())-MONTH(A1)*17)+50, where A1 contains Effective Date

Hi NBVC,

Thank you.

I'm not quite getting the number I'm hoping for though.

If my Eff date was in February 2005, then my formula would look like and equal:

=(9*17)+50

(Where "9" is Today's month "11" minus February "2")
