Hello,

I am looking for a way to convert the following

20001012 to 10/12/2000

I appreciate your help as always!:)

Excel Facts

Square and cube roots
The =SQRT(25) is a square root. For a cube root, use =125^(1/3). For a fourth root, use =625^(1/4).
Try:

=(MID(A1,5,2)&"/"&RIGHT(A1,2)&"/"&LEFT(A1,4))+0

This will convert the date to a real number, i.e. one that Excel recognises as a date.

This will make it a serial date (reccommended, format as a date)
=DATE(LEFT(D10,4),MID(D10,5,2),RIGHT(D10,2))

THis will display it as text (not reccommended, but an alternative none the less)
=MID(D10,5,2)&"/"&RIGHT(D10,2)&"/"&LEFT(D10,4)
