Date Error

dear sir/madam,

I have cell A1 with the formula =B2

B2 cell is a date cell

Why is A1 cell showing 01/00/00 when i B2 is still empty.

Is there anyway for me to make A1 show exactly like B2 when i enter the date into B2 and let A1 be empty when B2 is unfilled.
