I have a worksheet with dates of the year listed (Mon 11/02/2019; Tue 12/02/2019 etc) from beginning of the year to the end. This column is set as dates format so that they autocalulate when a date is put in the first cell of the column and a filter on the column. Is there any way I can filter a list of say all the Saturdays for the year. I have tried 'begins Sat' and 'contains Sat' but they both bring back nothing. I assume that this is because it is set as a date format. Is there any other way to do it?

Excel Facts

Remove leading & trailing spaces
Save as CSV to remove all leading and trailing spaces. It is faster than using TRIM().
One way is to use a column to return the weekday numbers with =WEEKDAY(A1)
Then filter based on that column
