A co-worker recently inherited a spreadsheet that shows the following in the custom cell format:

dd/mm/yyyy;@

She asks what the @ does and I'm not sure. It seems to work with or without the @. Can someone tell me what the @ does?

@ is just a way of stating that Text format is to be applied - it has bugger all effect on numerical values and can safely be removed (or left in).
