In a shared spreadheet, we have a column of dates. This is custom formatted "dd mmm yy"

If I enter dates as 2/5/22 (or even 2/5), then it works perfectly, displaying "02 May 22"

My German colleagues would like to enter dates in this column, using the format "2.5.22". On their machines, entering dates this way (with periods) will be automatically recognized as a date, in their spreadsheets generally. But on this spreadsheet, it will be displayed as 2.5.22 (and not recognized as a date).

Any thoughts?!

How to change case of text in Excel?
Use =UPPER() for upper case, =LOWER() for lower case, and =PROPER() for proper case. PROPER won't capitalize second c in Mccartney
