Good afternoon all, longtime lurker first time poster. I have wrote a macro that flips back and forth between worksheets and basically just stores a date off the first page and switches to another workbook and finds that date value. the problem is both of these date values between the workbooks are not the same. the displayed value is in m/d/yy format. but when i switch back to the first workbook it has the displayed value the same as the comparative workbook but the formula reads it as m/d/yyyy which i think is causing it to not be able to find the cell that i had stored. is there a way to format this to be the same as what is displayed?

edit: in summary both the displayed values are the same, but for some reason it just stores the formula of the second worksheet even though i have it set to save the value. not really sure why it saves the formula as opposed to what is being displayed
