Excel Facts

How to create a cell-sized chart?
Tiny charts, called Sparklines, were added to Excel 2010. Look for Sparklines on the Insert tab.
Hi,

Then you need to treat is as text e.g. put a single qute before the date:

'November-05

Fairwind,

Can you post me an example of that? I'll pick up your answer later.

Thanks

Well, yea, that's an example, but how do you get that with '11/1/05?

Don't understand what you are after here.

If you have a date in the cell, the formula bar will show the date regardless of how your cell is formatted. If you want the formula bar to show something specific, it must be text.

You're right. I was entering it wrong and from there it didn't make any sense anymore.
