I have dates enterd in cells in the format of SUN dd/mm/yy is there a formula for me to enter in other in the next cell that will automatically put in the next day in the same format.

Excel Facts

Can a formula spear through sheets?
Use =SUM(January:December!E7) to sum E7 on all of the sheets from January through December
If your formula is in A1 then in B1 enter

=A1 + 1

Then click in A1 and select the Format Painter (the paintbrush on the toolbar), click in B1 and you shoulde be sorted.

By the way, the 23rd day of September, 2006 is a Saturday.

Looks like you have Text in A1, that will happen when you put the text in front of the date in the same cell.
If you only have the true date in A1, formated as you listed, then VoG II's formula will work.

Type 23/9 in cell A1 and hit enter. Excel will recognize it as a date and format it to the default date format setup on your machine.
Select A1 again, hit Ctrl-1.
Custom format as "ddd mm/dd/yyyy", without quotes.

Now use VoG II's formula.

Again - what is the format in A1, and have you tried the format painter?

People from the UK can be irritating but you are being difficult ! What is the formatting in A1 - not a difficult question.
