Hi

I have a graph showing percentage of targets reached by sales people for a given month. is there any way i can put in a time line as a visual guide to which completion of target can be compared? i.e. floating above the bar graph but moving upwards daily.

I've looked in the basic graph and chart options but couldn't find anything so i reckon it isn't possible. Would be great to hear this from the experts!

Thanks in advance
mac

Hi mac,

I'm sure it can be done with a few lines of VBA code, but am not clear on exactly what you want to do. Is your vertical (ordinate) axis time in months (you mention moving the line "upwards" daily)? Do you want the line to be shown at the current date? How are dates represented (e.g., calendar date, julian day, day of month)?

Hi Damon

if the line could show the current date that would be just fine. As and when people open the excel sheet they will see the bar graph showing % of their monthly target achieved and an idication of where we are in the month.

Thanks
