Hi all,
I need a macro that will place today's date in A1 and then not aloow it to change the next time I view the sheet.

Can anyone help?

Thanks
B

Excel Facts

Remove leading & trailing spaces
Save as CSV to remove all leading and trailing spaces. It is faster than using TRIM().
Code:
Sub setDate()
    With Sheets("Sheet1")
        .Range("A1").Value = Date
        .Protect Password:="your_password_here"
    End With
End Sub
Of course, you could just as easily put the date into A1 and add the sheet protection manually. Be sure to unlock any cells you want to be able to edit though, otherwise you won't be able to edit those either.
