I have two dates and need to caculate lenght of employment service ie.

12-1-00 to 9-10-04 .... I'd like it to caculate like 1.22 years of service.

Do you know the formulas?

Which Excel functions can ignore hidden rows?
The SUBTOTAL and AGGREGATE functions ignore hidden rows. AGGREGATE can also exclude error cells and more.
this is a very rough version but very simple:

write your start date and your end / current date
go to cells / format / number and change to number format

subtract one cell from the other and divide by 365.25

If I knew what it caculated too, I would have put that in... but since I'm trying to figure that out I threw a number out there for the format I was looking for....

carabale's answer will require that you have the Analysis Toolpak installed.
